Linssen Yachts hands over cheques to charities during anniversary Boat Show
During the past Linssen Yachts Boat Show, Linssen Yachts presented cheques to three charities for which the company raised money as part of its 75th anniversary. The cheques were symbolically handed over by the young fourth generation of the Linssen family, emphasising the importance of corporate social responsibility for the future as well.
During the anniversary year, Linssen Yachts donated €750 for each cause and made a donation to the selected charities for each yacht sold. In addition, suppliers, partners and customers generously contributed to the fundraising campaign. In total, a wonderful amount was raised, for the three causes:
- Stichting Kinderhulp received €5,386. Thanks to this contribution, as many as 215 children, who would otherwise have no Saint Nicholas presents, will be able to enjoy a nice Saint Nicholas with presents and treats.
- Maas Cleanup received €5,832. This support will enable the organisation to remove even more pollution and plastic waste from the river Maas, thus creating a cleaner river and a better living environment.
- Water for Toubacouta was supported with €6,102. This amount will enable the construction of additional wells in Toubacouta, Senegal, further improving access to clean drinking water for the local population.
Yvonne Linssen, commercial director of Linssen Yachts, expressed her gratitude on behalf of the company: "We are extremely proud that we, together with our partners and customers, have been able to make a meaningful contribution to these wonderful causes. We are delighted to see that our anniversary was not only a festive milestone, but also made a positive impact in our immediate surroundings and beyond."
The presentation of the cheques marked a special moment during the Linssen Yachts Boat Show, an annual event where the company presents its latest models to a wide audience.
With this action, Linssen Yachts emphasises its commitment to the community and its responsibility as a leading player in the water sports sector.
