Linssen Yachts presented France Fluviale with the ‘Best Performing Dealer Award 2014’.
The international Linssen dealer meeting was held prior to the annual Linssen Yachts Boat Show at the end of November. This meeting is attended by all the national and international Linssen dealers from eleven countries.
At the start of the event, several newcomers were introduced. Jeroen Opheij and Lars Franken have been appointed to support the sales department at the boat yard in Maasbracht. Added to which, there are new dealers in Turkey (Gena Yacht), Australia/New Zealand (EuroCanalBoat) and Sweden (Linssen Yachts Sweden).
During the dealer meeting, the exceptional aspects of the new models were covered in detail and all new developments for next year were discussed. In addition, the results of the past year were considered and the trends and expectations for 2015 were reviewed.
This occasion also marked the presentation of the ‘Best Performing Dealer Award 2014’. This year, the award for the best sales results went to France Fluviale.
“I am already proud to be working with Linssen Yachts, so it is an enormous honour for me to receive the Best Performing Dealer Award 2014, especially because there are so many hard-working, experienced Linssen dealers. And, quite honestly, Linssen motor yachts are so good and of such fantastic quality that the boats almost sell themselves. So it’s actually the designers, the boat builders and all the other people at Linssen who deserve the award.
In recent years, France has been gradually moving up the ladder in terms of sales competition. For this reason, an increasing number of Linssens are sailing in France and along the French coast. They attract attention and that is the best sales tool that a Linssen dealer could wish for. The Paris boat show begins on 6 December and I already have a whole pile of appointments with customers who want to see the two new models on show and want to know more about the attractive new Linssen deal. 2015 is already promising to become a great year for Linssen in France”, says Mike Gardner-Roberts of France Fluviale.
Oriyana Yacht Centre in Vyshgorod is the Ukraine base for Linssen Yachts. Located to the north of Kiev on the Dnieper river, it is a round building that looks like a lighthouse and is a real showpiece for the city.
The Yacht Centre provides berths for sixty yachts and can offer a full-service package, with winter storage, maintenance, and servicing. The marina also has a restaurant, ample parking, and a water sports shop.

A Linssen dealer also began representing us in Sweden 2014. Linssen Yachts Sweden is based in Bromma, to the west of Stockholm, not far from Bromma/Stockholm Airport.
A characteristic feature of the Swedish coast are the many skerries, hundreds of little islands which are actually the tops of hills rising up above water from the seabed. Between them, the waters are often sheltered, so that the sailing is excellent.
The great thing about the Swedish coast is the beautiful scenery and the picturesque fishing villages with their typical wooden houses painted in different colours.
The Göta Canal is perhaps Sweden’s most important engineering feat of yesteryear as regards hydraulic engineering. It is a 190 kilometre blue ribbon running from Gothenburg in the west to Sjötorp in the east and is Sweden’s top destination for motorboat cruisers.
For a long time, the canal was of vital economic, infrastructural, and strategic importance for the country. Today, though, it is primarily a recreational magnet for water sports enthusiasts, cyclists and walkers. Each year, some 3 million tourists visit the canal and the attractive places along its banks. Because it is so long, you can always find somewhere to enjoy peace and quiet.

Turkey is perhaps not the first country that you think of for a steel displacement yacht, but its often sheltered waters and the picturesque little bays and harbours along its more than 6500 km of coastline provide excellent sailing.
Since 2014, Linssen’s agent for Turkey has been Gena Yacht. This firm will be representing Linssen Yachts in various places for sales, service, and maintenance.
The firm’s head office and technical centre is at Çeşme-Port Alaçatı Marina. It also has offices in Istanbul and at Marmaris Netsel Marina, and a service point in D-Marin Turgutreis. For other Turkish harbours, Gena Yacht has a mobile team available.
Turkey has a rich history involving many cultures such as the Hittites, Assyrians, Greeks, Armenians, Persians, Seljuks, and Ottomans. Turkish towns and cities can often trace their history back to before the Turkish period, with very many remains still being visible. The fact that there are still so many intact historical buildings in Turkey is because the Ottomans often carried out restoration work.
Major historical towns and cities such as Istanbul, Bursa Edirne, and Izmir are very popular with tourists, but there are hundreds of historical sites throughout the country, for example the many now ruined Greek cities of Troy, Ephesus, Pergamon, Miletus, Priene, Aphrodisias, Sagalassos, Xanthos, Side, Phaselis, and Didyma.
Turkey is therefore very much worth admiring from the water.
