
Linssen Yachts history; Since 1949
Linssen Yachts BV is a family business with a rich tradition. On 1 April 1949, Jac. Linssen founded the company, which began as a modest carpentry and ship repair company. Over the years, the company developed steadily and became an important player in Dutch steel yacht building.

2021-present
In the spring of 2021 have presented the new Linssen 40 SL AC and Sedan. In the stylish new look of the Linssen SL Series.
During the Linssen Start Boating weeks in April, the Grand Sturdy 500 Sedan is presented. The biggest Sedan Linssen has ever built.
2017-2020
Linssen Yachts is known for its trendsetting developments. In just two years time, a complete new yacht series is introduced: the DOT Zero series. At this moment this series is very complete with yachts in 30.0, 35.0, 40.0 and 45.0 ft. in both AC (with Aft Cabin) and Sedan (with Open Cockpit) versions.
The flagship of Linssen: the Grand Sturdy 500 AC Variotop® is launched in a completely redesigned engine room and interior. With the latest technology on board, and the Linssen ICCESS and LIPPCON systems.
In 2018 and 2019 a ‘smaller’ sister is introduced: the Grand Sturdy 450 AC Variotop® and the 480 AC Variotop®
2020 marks the new Linssen SL series. At BOOT Düsseldorf in January the first is introduced: the Linssen 30 SL Sedan. Then in May 2020 the Linssen 35 SL AC.
In September 2020 the new Linssen Grand Sturdy 40.0 AC INTERO and Sedan INTERO was presented at the pre launch.

2017
The next generation of the flagship Grand Sturdy 500 AC Variotop® is presented.
New design and complete new engineering of al technical components with the ICCESS and LIPPCON system.

2018
The 'smallest' Linssen available is the Grand Sturdy 30.0 AC INTERO. With 9,70 x 3,35 m remarkably spacious for its size.
With the new, more modern INTERO interior.

2018
The Variotop® becomes a real series of motoryachts with this second in line: the Grand Sturdy 450 AC Variotop®

2019
The Grand Sturdy 35.0 AC and Sedan become upgraded to the new INTERO line including the new technical ICCESS system

2020
Introduced at BOOT Düsseldorf 2020 is the first of the new Linssen SL series: the Linssen 30 SL Sedan
2011-2016
These years again contain many new developments. The New Classic Sturdy series with the ‘cute’ small Classic Sturdy 28 Sedac, but also the robust Classic Sturdy 410 Sedan Deckbridge.
In 2011 the third generation of the Linssen family continue the family tradition and take their places in the management of the company.
The Linssen Boating Holidays network is growing. In 2013 it has over 70 yachts in 7 countries and 17 charter bases.
The complete furniture factory is moved to Echt; a location 5 km from Maasbracht. Here we have the space to build an efficient workflow for the complete interior and other (teak) wood parts.

2011
The yachts in the Grand Sturdy Mark III series are available not only with a traditional Classic Luxury interior, but also in New Comfort style.

2011
The third generation takes over at Linssen Yachts. Yvonne, Jac and Ruben Linssen continue the family tradition.

2012
Introduction of the new Classic Sturdy series in traditional colours and materials and with a warm interior.

2013
The Linssen Boating Holidays® network has 17 charter bases in 7 countries and includes as many as 73 yachts.

2013
The Classic Sturdy 36 is also available in a Deckbridge version, which results in as much as 15 m2 extra space on board.

From the Upper Deck, you have an excellent view of the new and pre-owned yachts on display in the showroom.

2014
A brilliant offer. To mark the 65th anniversary, two special versions of the Grand Sturdy 30.9 AC and 40.9 AC Brilliant Edition are presented.

2014
There’s no end to the innovative power. The Grand Sturdy 530 AC Wheelhouse was presented at the 2014 Linssen Yachts Boat Show.
2001-2010
The years from 2001-2010 mark the introduction of the very successful “9”-series. Starting with the 29.9 at the 2004 Linssen Yachts Boat Show, this series grew in this decade to a very complete series from 29-45 ft.
The Mark II-series was presented in 2005 with the Grand Sturdy 410, 430 and 470 AC Mark II.
Linssen Yachts viewed developments in the yacht-building market from a totally different angle. Serial construction, process technology, scale advantage, logistics and technology were aspects that were – and still are – important to the Maasbracht yacht builder.
Development of the three Logicam production lines for yachts from 30-35 ft, 40-45 ft and 45-50 ft, new shot blasting and spraying cabins, new CNC wood milling machines and expansion of the steel hull construction are just some of the many enhancements of the Linssen shipyard.
Finally the shipyard celebrated it’s 60th anniversary in 2009 with the Grand Sturdy 500 AC Variotop – Diamond Edition and the Grand Sturdy 60.33 and 60.43.

2001
Linssen Yachts develops the FIS®, the Floor Integrated System®, to ensure the complete integration of cables and pipes.

2002
The most recent “boats for professionals” project is the Grand Sturdy® 430 Patrol, an open-cockpit variant for the Port of Brussels patrol service.

2002
The new Grand Sturdy® 500 Variotop® Mark II is presented to the Dutch public at the ‘Hiswa te Water’ boat show.

2003
The new 2000 m2 steel construction plant is fitted out with the most innovative technical facilities.

2004
The new Grand Sturdy® 29.9 was developed and was successfully launched during the Linssen Yachts Boat Show in December 2004.

2005
The Linssen Yachts Boat Show 2005 is dominated by a fantastic innovation, with the launch of as many as three brand-new models: the Grand Sturdy® 410, 430 and 470 Mark II.

A further extension is the construction of the most advanced blasting cabins and spray booths in the yacht-building industry.

No. 2 in the “9” Series was unveiled in 2006: the Linssen Grand Sturdy 33.9 Sedan and AC (10.35 x 3.40 m).

All-new furniture production plant with state of the art CNC wood cutting, computerised ‘self learning’ panel feeder and edge trim gluing machine.

Major premieres at the 9th Linssen Yachts Boat Show in 2007: Linssen Grand Sturdy 40.9 AC and Sedan.

2008
To mark the start of the 2009 anniversary year, the Diamond edition was presented at the Linssen Yachts Boat Show.

2009
With as many as 7 lengths (25' - 45') in both AC and Sedan versions, the Linssen "9" series is the most extensive and universal series of yachts.
1991-2000
1999 marks the 50th anniversary of Linssen Yachts. A great party and the beginning of the annual Linssen Yachts Boat Show.
Prins Willem Alexander visits the shipyard.
The grp Linssen DS 45 is presented in Switzerland and receives very high points from the international press.

1991
The lake police in Thurgau on Lake Constance choose the Linssen 402SX Patrol as their patrol vessel. Yvonne Linssen shows interest in her fathers trade at very young age.

1996
A start is made on the construction of Europe’s biggest spray booth, 1,260 m3 in size (20 x 9 x 7 metres).

1998
One of the most successful model series ever, the Grand Sturdy®, is launched throughout Europe to great acclaim.

1999
Another milestone: the company’s 50th anniversary is celebrated when the boatyard is opened to an eager public. The start of the annual Linssen Yachts Boat Show.
1971-1990

1976
Jos Linssen designed the St. Jozef vletten, which formed the basis for the later Classic Sturdy series.

1981
The renowned SL series, designed by Jos Linssen, provided Linssen Yachts with its breakthrough on the international market.

1986
The Linssen SE and SX series were built in large numbers and ensured an international breakthrough.
1949-1970

1949
Just after the Second World War Jac. Linssen opened “Houtindustrie St. Jozef”, a woodworking business named after the patron saint of carpenters.

1951
Jac. Linssen developed St. Jozef ship’s wheels with the “patented boss construction” (Dutch patent 80001). Thousands of these wheels were supplied to European shipyards.

1951
Jac. Linssen ontwikkelt St. Jozef-stuurwielen met de 'patentnaafconstructie' (Nederlands octrooi 80001). Duizenden exemplaren worden aan
Europese scheepswerven geleverd.

1952
A shipyard of stature for inland shipping. Major renovations and refits form the professional foundation for what would later become Linssen.

The first motor yachts are launched: The St. Jozef vlet 500, 600 and 700. Designed by Jac. Linssen Sr.
