Linssen Yachts is putting the new production space for interior construction into operation

In Echt – which is approximately 10 km from the boat yard in Maasbracht – Linssen Yachts BV has started using the 1.2 ha business park (containing 5,900 m2 of units) purchased from Westrom last year for the interior construction department. At present, 3,800 m2 are being used for the construction of interior modules.

In Echt, an advanced production line has been set up for the efficient prefabrication of interior modules. The design of the production line focuses particularly on quality monitoring, efficiency and a streamlined logistics process, which is perfectly in line with the Logicam production technology developed
in-house by Linssen. A Homag twin-table CNC portal milling machine, a computer-guided Homag Bargstedt board warehouse, a Homag Brandt edge banding machine and various peripherals have been installed, tested and commissioned.

“This investment is an important step in our strategy to centralise and optimise the production and logistics of luxury interiors. The launch of this project is a further step in the serial production of luxury steel motor yachts. From 9 January 2012, the interior production in Echt will be in full swing”, explains Ruben Linssen.
