Linssen Yachts Boat Show 2016 - another great success
During its annual open days (from Saturday 19 to Monday 21 November), Linssen Yachts in Maasbracht sold no less than five yachts. This represents a value of approximately EUR 2.5 million.
The annual show is the time when new models are presented to the international dealer network. The sales results are also evaluated and the “Dealer of the Year Award” is presented. Providing about 30% of the total sales achieved by the network, Hennings Yachtvertrieb carried off the 2016 dealer award. Heinrich Hennings:“We have had a good year. Thanks to our strong focus on the Linssen brand, we were able build on the company’s success. That’s something we are very proud of!”
The all-new Linssen Grand Sturdy “dot zero”series was presented on paper. As an exclusive preview, the first two models were on display at the preservation stage. The first 35.0 AC and 40.0 AC will be completed by May 2017.
This time, the Linssen Yachts Boat Show attracted about 700 guests from home and abroad. Yvonne Linssen:“The Linssen Yachts Boat Show is becoming increasingly international. This year we had visitors from countries including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, France, Austria, the UK, Finland and Sweden, as well as from the US and Ukraine. The fact that we picked up another five orders is a real confidence-booster.”
Stop Dreaming: Start Boating!
This year, Linssen had organised the first “Stop dreaming, start boating!” day on Friday 18 November. During this day, prospective customers were not only able to view the Linssen yachts, they could also obtain comprehensive information on all aspects of boating. For example, there was a stand providing information on insurance, financing and maintenance and the unique Linssen “Buy & Charter” concept was also explained to visitors. Wendy Linssen, Linssen Boating Holidays:“Our expectations with regard to interest in our “Buy & Charter” formula were well and truly exceeded. Many potential Linssen customers who already had experience of boating within the LBH network are also very enthusiastic about investing in our steadily expanding fleet. In this way, we are supporting Linssen Yachts by being visible in many markets and helping to increase its brand recognition”.
In addition, a film featuring a variety of cruising areas was shown in a purpose-built theatre in the showroom. The day was well attended, with about 150 visitors.
On Saturday, after the show, the traditional owners meeting was held in the De Roosterhoeve restaurant in Roosteren. It was attended by 120 Linssen owners from the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, Germany and Finland. Yvonne Linssen:“Traditionally, the various clubs organise a dinner for their members. The Linssen family is always invited. I am very proud that we have now become such a big family and I am happy to be there. It gives us an opportunity to really talk to our customers, who share some good ideas with us”.
